As a bathroom contractor, we were delighted to meet with this growing family in Allen, Texas. Due to a water leak in their bathroom, they decided it was time to update the master bath in their 1990’s home. The decision was made to enlarge the shower area and add a wall to hold towels. Four hooks were installed into the new tiled wall to hold towels for the family, as seen in the photo below. A soap dish and bench seat were included in the shower and trimmed with natural stone deco tile. The floor was done with 18″ porcelain tiles in a diagonal pattern which was extended into the toilet closet. The shower used the complementary 12″ tile along with a basket weave natural stone pattern on the shower floor. A new energy efficient toilet was added, and like many communities around Allen, rebates are given by the City of Allen for replacing the old toilets to compensate for the cost. In addition, two new wood vanities with matching mirrors in a dark wood color were installed along with elegant drop-in Delta sinks. One of the most significant makeovers was the removal of wallpaper and texture and painting of the walls in the homeowners favorite shade of blue. New Lighting fixtures were installed over the new granite countertops.
